Just read on a blog in El País newspaper the story of William Kamkwamba, a boy in Malawi that constructed a windmill to generate electricity in his hometown. He was only 14 years old and without previous knowledge on windmills. A book inspired him and unsing junkyard material and an old bicycle he constructed his first windmill.

With this windmill they were able to charge a battery to use the radio and light a few bulbs.
A book has been written "The boy who harnessed the wind". A short film and a documentary have been filmed. This is the short that I found in Youtube.
His dream now is to study and create his own windmill company in order to bring reliable electricity to his people so they can study, work.
Great little story, particularly inspiring for this times.
